Carrie Underwood is a small-town Oklahoma girl turned country superstar who found out that happily-ever-after is possible. Carrie married Canadian hockey-pro Mike Fisher, the love of her life. When her bridesmaids put her tiara on, Underwood said I’m getting married with excitement. Even if she is a country singer, the Carrie Underwood wedding dress was anything but country.

Carrie Underwood married Prince Charming Mike Fisher in a Monique Lhuillier creation. Mrs. Fisher wore a custom made gown with a corset bodice, a ball gown silhouette and a sweetheart neckline. The Carrie Underwood wedding dress was enriched by a colored sash. Designer Monique Lhuillier confessed that Carrie wanted something magical and grand, so she adorned the dress with approximately 3,000 handmade silk organza flowers embellished with crystals.

The Carrie Underwood wedding dress became the talk of the town. The Chantilly lace wedding dress is from Monique Lhuillier’s spring collection 2011, and the wedding took place in 2010, so we can say that the gown is from the future. The look was completed by a diamond tiara because Mike calls her Princess. The 40-carat diamond and white gold piece was made for Underwood by Johnathon Arndt.

Monique Lhuillier is a fashion designer known for her bridal dresses and red carpet gowns. Her couture fashion house is based in Los Angeles. Lhuillier worked with many celebrities, including Kristen Stewart, Jennifer Lopez, Reese Witherspoon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Zooey Deschanel and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Lhuillier dreamed of becoming a successful fashion designer since she was a student in Lausanne. She met in Los Angeles to study at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. There, he met her future husband Tom Bugbee. In 1995 they got married, and while she was searching for a gown, the young designer was surprised by the lack of bridal options. In 1996, she launched her first bridal collection which received great reviews from both buyers and editors. Her current collections include bridal, bridesmaids and evening gowns.

The Carrie Underwood wedding dress was not the only one embellished with crystals. The second most interesting outfit of the night was seen on Underwood’s small dog, Ace. The animal wore a pink tuxedo decorated with Swarovski crystals. However, Carrie admits that the princess gown may have impaired her dancing abilities. The couple danced on their favorite song Love Never Fails by Brandon Heath, a contemporary Christian singer. To solve the problem, Underwood slipped into a cocktail dress for the reception, another Monique Lhuillier creation.
